Today I joined with mayors from around the country— Republicans, Independents, and Democrats— to urge Congress to put partisan bickering aside and pass an economic stimulus package. After meeting with President Obama, I traveled with the mayors’ delegation, organized by the U.S. Conference of Mayors, to Capitol Hill to talk with our Congressional leaders about the importance of this legislation to cities around the country.
