Support for our Public Safety Services
Mayor Euille is grateful for everyone who serves our city and understands that public safety is a top priority. In order to have clean and safe neighborhoods, we must fully fund and support our public safety services.

Promote the “Mayor’s Health and Wellness Program”
Building on his successful “Partnership for A Healthier Alexandria” Mayor Euille is committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle for himself and for the residents of Alexandria. With two out of three adults overweight and almost 20% of children overweight, poor health habits and obesity keep us from enjoying a high quality of life and are straining our health care system. Mayor Euille plans to launch the “Mayor’s Health and Wellness Program” this spring with the objective of bringing residents together to work towards improving health and fitness.

Create and Maintain Affordable/Workforce Housing
Mayor Euille knows that we cannot have a vibrant and productive city unless there is a significant amount of affordable and workforce housing. Mayor Euille will continue to work to preserve our affordable housing, and will continue to partner with developers to build housing for all of our residents.

Infrastructure Improvements
While we face challenging economic times, Mayor Euille knows that we cannot neglect basic improvements and maintenance of our roads, sidewalks, and sewers.

Expanded Open Spaces and Recreational Venues
In order to have a healthier Alexandria, Mayor Euille understands that we must provide residents with open spaces and access to recreational venues. From our dog parks to our soccer fields, Mayor Euille has worked to expand and improve our open spaces, and will continue to do so.
